Our short story follows the journey of John, a man who experiences both joy and sorrow in his life. He finds love with his wife Sarah, but their happiness is shattered when she is diagnosed with glioblastoma. John spirals into depression and ends up under arrest, but he finds new beginnings when he falls in love with a pretty little Thai girl named Som on a return trip to Thailand. They begin a long-distance relationship, and John eventually moves to Thailand to be with her. They later move back to the USA with their children and open a Thai restaurant in California, where they build a beautiful life together. Our story is a tale of love, loss, and new beginnings, and it shows that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope for a happy ending.
