2074, the world has been ravaged by relentless global warming, causing an unprecedented catastrophe. Billions of human and animal lives have been swept away, while the Earth has become a hellish place. Glaciers have melted, leaving behind desolate landscapes and extreme temperatures. The daily average exceeds 50 degrees Celsius (122 Fahrenheit), making the simple act of survival a titanic challenge. Coastal areas have vanished, submerged by a salty sea that no longer supports life. The inland lands have turned into arid sand deserts, where the hope of finding refuge is a distant mirage. Oxygen itself has become a precious commodity, with concentrations so low that survival without the aid of respirators is an impossible feat. In the heart of this inferno, a small group of survivors struggles to endure. They seek refuge in technological enclaves, sharing meager resources and facing the challenge of staying alive every day. Michele, the protagonist, is faced with desperate choices. In a journey through scorching deserts and apocalyptic landscapes, Michele will confront not only the perils of untamed nature but also the dark machinations of desperate human groups, willing to do anything to secure a future. With every step, Michele must battle against despair and strive to keep the flame of hope alive.

The smoke wraps tendrils around your legs and sinks into your skin. Dry coughs scrape their blunt nails down your throat and the smoke penetrates deeper, sliding a hand around your neck and s q u e e z i n g. Everything is blurry now. Your breath comes in short, sharp bursts. You hear hoarse sobs in between rasping coughs. Blood and saliva drips onto the dead grass. Too late. *** It's always the quiet, unassuming events that foretell the end. That's where the movies get it wrong. The world won't go out with a bang. It will slowly burn right in front of our eyes as we pretend that we like the warmth. Then when we finally come to our senses and we are no longer blinded by money and greed, it will be too late. A collection of short speculative fiction and poetry pieces that explore the fine line between dystopia and reality.

In the year 2045, climate change is killing people. Fifteen-year old Lily Star must use her power over water to save her family and thousands of refugees from dying of thirst in the parched American West. Even though Lily's a powerful Diviner, and can call water from Everspring, the family's only source, they must ration every drop to stay alive. The U.S. has split into two unfriendly factions, the United Western Republic and the Eastern Alliance. When the Republic's Minister of Water, Tanner Voles, discovers that Lily has the power that he's been seeking, he pressures her to use it for his own political gain and the benefit of the water-hungry Capitol. But Lily and her family refuse, suspecting that Voles will exploit her to get the water for the Republic and then kill her so nobody else can use her power. To gain control over her, he forces the family to Floater Camp 65, a broiling wasteland filled with thousands of Floaters, the homeless refugees of rising oceans and forest fires. There Lily befriends Nate Arnett and 1Planet, an underground resistance group of kids who fight the government and give their generation hope for the future.

What if the reason it's so difficult to take action against global climate change is that the wealthy few who control the world's great corporations have realized that it can be even more profitable than war? In 2095, the sea wall that kept the Pacific Ocean from submerging the California lowlands all the way to Sacramento has collapsed, and the official story is that it was terrorists. Infrastructure analyst Alphon Quince knew it was a lie. What he didn't know was what they were willing to do to protect that lie.

Eternal Spring: A Cli-Fi Thriller That Echoes Reality Dive into the heart of a climatic enigma in "Eternal Spring," a riveting cli-fi thriller that weaves suspense, science, and human drama into a narrative that's as thought-provoking as it is thrilling. When Dr. Maya Lin, a dedicated climatologist, encounters an inexplicable ecological anomaly - leaves that refuse to fall and unseasonal global spring-like conditions - she finds herself at the center of a mystery that defies scientific understanding. Partnering with Agent Jack Turner, a pragmatic government investigator, Maya embarks on a journey that crisscrosses the boundaries of science and conspiracy. As they unravel the threads, they cross paths with a cast of compelling characters, including Elena Vargas, a passionate environmental activist, and Dr. Richard Sato, a technology entrepreneur with radical solutions to climate change. Each character is drawn into a deepening puzzle that spans the globe, from the city's parks to the corridors of power. Balancing on the knife-edge of environmental catastrophe, "Eternal Spring" delves into themes of ecological responsibility, corporate greed, and the delicate interplay between human activity and nature. It's a story that mirrors our world's urgent climate issues, asking poignant questions about our future and the lengths we must go to protect our planet. Join the adventure in "Eternal Spring" as it takes you on a journey filled with twists, heart-stopping revelations, and a narrative that skillfully blends the thrill of a chase with the depth of a well-researched environmental saga. It's more than a book; it's a wake-up call wrapped in the guise of an unputdownable thriller.

"I looked into his eyes and I felt a flash of something barely recognizable, but it was there, and it was tragically beautiful in the purest form" Atlas is a member of her school's very own eco-club. After submitting a speech about climate change and global warming, she is chosen along with fellow group members to compete in regionals with. However, she finds herself in a sticky situation when 'he' so happens to be sleeping right next to her for 7 whole nights. Neither of them wanted it, but once 'it' happened, they found themselves coming back for more. "I'm not sure if it's because of global warming, or the way he's staring at you, but I know for sure, that you are becoming the definition of a literal hot mess"

This short science fiction story is about the responsibility we share as residents of the planet Earth towards doing something about Climate Change and Global Warming. A reticent and languid approach will not work now, because with rising incidents of heat waves, human population is at war with its own ill calculated and self destructive investments in the form of growing Global Warming and Climate Change, threatening the survival of human species across the globe. The beauty of this short science fiction story lies in its ability to make the reader's mind interact with these issues with a subtleness that is assertive, yet reassuring that we all can do something to change the situation in our favour. Where Earth will still be able to support life in the years ahead. Especially in 2075 and beyond.
