Four years after the glaciers cracked open and breathed ancient disease into the world, humanity has nearly vanished. The thaw left behind ruins, silence... and things that were never meant to exist. Illinois is one of them. Once human, now a six‑foot, scaled mutation with claws and a heartbeat that still remembers kindness, she wanders the Meltwind searching for a place she can belong. The Onecs-mindless, blood‑seeking remnants of the infected-roam the edges of her path, but they are not what she fears most. It's her reflection. Her memories. The question of who she is now that the world has ended. Then she meets Levi. A quiet, sharp‑eyed survivor who claims her name is short for "Leviathan," Levi carries no visible scars-but her past is the one wrapped in shadows. Illinois soon learns Levi escaped an asylum the night the outbreak began, and the truth about who she was before the world fell may be more dangerous than the creatures outside. Together, the two form an uneasy alliance, bound by necessity and the fragile hope that they don't have to face the end alone. But trust is hard to build when both of them are hiding pieces of themselves... and when the thawed disease is still changing the world in ways neither of them fully understands. In a landscape shaped by loss and mutation, Illinois and Levi must decide what it means to survive-and what it means to stay human-when everything familiar has melted away.

Lessons for girls

Illinois wakes up in a steel room with no weapon, no answers, and one burning instinct: find Leviathan. But when she does, nothing is the same. Leviathan is exhausted, shaken, and hiding a past she refuses to acknowledge - a past the mutated creature hunting them seems to know all too well. When the monster breaches containment and whispers Leviathan's forbidden name, the two are forced to flee into the forest, where danger lurks behind every tree and Leviathan's coping mechanism is... chaos. While forced to fight mutated horrors, Leviathan spirals between rage and fear while Illinois tries to keep them both alive. But the deeper they run, the clearer the truth becomes: The creature isn't chasing Leviathan to kill her. It's chasing her to retrieve her. As new mutations emerge and Leviathan's forgotten past claws its way to the surface, the pair must rely on each other in ways neither of them are ready to admit. Their bickering becomes teamwork, their instincts sync, and survival becomes something they can only achieve together. But the disease is evolving. The creature is learning. And Leviathan's past - the one she swears isn't hers - is coming for her. (2nd Book)

It's been 23 years Since Departure, Class warfare is arising on the train while a group of survivors (including Bambi) are trying to find a better life at the front of the train. will they survive the revolution and the bloodshed and finally have a better life?
