A story of speed, sparks, and the danger of falling.
Alexandra "Alex" Butt has spent her entire life in the air-twisting through silks, flipping from rings, and flying high above the crowds that chase the magic of the traveling circus. Alongside her fierce and fearless best friend Izzy, the road has always felt like home. Her little horse-drawn chariot is her bedroom, her sanctuary, her world.
But when Izzy falls sick just before a high-stakes show, she begs Alex to take her place in the most dangerous act of all: standing in the center of the Globe of Death-a metal sphere where motorcycles scream past inches from your skin.
Terrified but loyal, Alex agrees. What she doesn't expect is to be paired with him-Knox, the cold, unreadable rider who's never said more than two words to her. As the globe begins to spin, metal and rubber roaring around her, Knox reaches out-touching her waist to steady her. Through his helmet, he smirks. And in that moment, the ground shifts beneath her more than any stunt ever has.
Now, shaken and unsure, Alex finds herself drawn into a different kind of danger-the kind that doesn't end when the show is over.
