And every year, the mentors have to watch from the mentors room, famed Victors themselves, and almost entirely unable to bring home another Victor. Nobody's ever said that a Victor's life got easier after the games ended.

Because every time a Blessing child had volunteered for the Hunger Games, they didn't just win - they entertained.

At the end of the games, instead of of securing a win with him, Peeta dies. President Snow concocts a miserable plan and Katniss isn't returned home and is forced to live in the Capitol. Stuck in a foreign world and almost on her own, Katniss tries to adapt and keep her fire burning. Surprisingly, one man does his best to help her and it's someone she had never thought would be there to pick up the pieces. Seneca Crane tries to be her salvation, and ends up embroiled -willingly -into her new mess of a life, but together they secure allies and enamor a coquettish and fickle society that bends and molds to change anew for them. AU drabble-ish series with exploring life in the Capitol for Katniss and the stirrings of rebellion still moving despite it all. Seneca/Katniss build up, victors friendship, monarchy conversion, and PTSD all around.
