5,000 years after the Cleansing, the only two predators left in Moralos are the Dragon s and the Morai. We live in a very special time, perhaps a hinge in human history. We could argue that today, for the first time, we are realizing the dreams of the Enlightenment. The scientific method has produced enough objective knowledge that we are able to develop tools enabling us tinker with nature, to mimic and substitute nature. Technology underpins the unique power we have developed to use, and act on, Nature by our designs and choices. We could start working to reverse human footprint in the environment and global climate. However, we also live unique political and sociological times marked by a general feeling of distrust in science and scholarly expertise in any technical field, and more generally by an anti-establishment feeling. These are times of tribalism, relative truths, and false news. So precisely when technology has brought us to the unfolding of the tragedy of the global commons, it appears that there are no chances to develop the instruments to act. These are, therefore, very special times indeed since the will to recognize what really matters does not exist, our technologies can cause more externalities than ever before and can introduce new unnatural entities to the natural heritage of humankind, the commons.

Would you sacrifice your humanity to save mankind? IT'S THE YEAR 2828, and Domus is the last remaining country. Divided into twelve walled cities known as genuses, Domus spans what's known as the purist lands-lands unaffected by the genetic modifications that killed all other species of mammals. But outside the walls of each genus the Immundus threaten the welfare of those within. From a young age, all citizens of Domus are trained for combat against these intruders. At sixteen, Nia Luna knows little of the Immundus, except for the citywide alarms that ring any time an Immundus nears the genus walls. What she does know is that her own species is dying-their numbers dwindling as a mysterious disease called allagine kills many before their eleventh birthday. The same disease that ravaged her family when it took her sister. When Nia is recruited into Genesis, a research company pioneering the path to a cure, she knows that her dream to find a cure for allagine is finally within her grasp. But within weeks of starting at Genesis, Nia witnesses something she shouldn't have-something that changes everything. As she sets down a dangerous path that uncovers national secrets, Nia will have to decide not only what kind of person she wants to be but also how far she's willing to go to save humanity.

The reason I write is because I feel compelled to share the valuable and sometimes crucial knowledge I've gained with family, friends, and with anyone who cares about their health and the health of their loved ones.

I wouldn't say I'm a poet. I don't necessarily really care to be called a poet... but sometimes writing poems is something I like to do, and maybe I have too high of an opinion of myself, but I don't think my poems are half bad. If they suck, I would love to be told so. Which is why I decided I could share them here. Some people might even like them, please tell me which ones and why! Even if you think they are terrible please let me know as well. Also, if you are a poet yourself, please leave comments on how I can improve or try something differently! Thanks to anyone who reads anything of mine :)

This is a story about a girl named Lola, her friend Bob, the Government, a legislator named Jo and maybe a mom. As you read this story you will learn about the turmoil (or a start for the better good) of which one lady's paranoia can cause. How a friend helped her while slightly against her, and a legislator of a foreign country is totally with her. Last but not least ,of how her mom makes her eat her vegetables. I made this as a class project. It was rushed towards the end we were also only aloud 6 Pages to write on. Fair warning I am not the best at picking names.
