Nyx, the primordial entity of darkness and night, presides over the Mansion of Night within Tartarus, a silent sanctuary for souls too broken or malevolent for Hades' underworld. These souls, marked by madness-driven atrocities or divine malice, are kept in a state of absolute, silent contemplation under her guardianship. The fragile peace of her domain is disrupted when a rogue Titan, imprisoned in the deepest parts of Tartarus, plots an escape. Recognizing that brute force is insufficient, the Titan schemes to absorb the essence of the souls under Nyx's care to gain the power necessary to break free from Tartarus. This act of aggression forces Nyx to abandon her contemplative solitude. She confronts the Titan, not just as a ruler but as the ultimate guardian. In a climactic confrontation, Nyx unleashes a primordial, absolute darkness, a void that envelops the Titan. This overwhelming power strips away the Titan's divinity, reducing them to a broken, silent soul, now permanently under Nyx's charge. The event underscores Nyx's profound and terrifying power, solidifying her reputation as an entity feared by both gods and monsters, whose authority stems from the stillness of absolute oblivion rather than chaos. For those who thrive in the dark who lay awake at night who love the stars and ancient mythology.

Nyx was bored of her life in the underworld, helping souls cross over and punishing those deserving. One day her father asked her to take a few trust others up to the surface to find the source of a threat. The hair on my neck stands up as I walk through the dark forest, my men behind me. As we come to a clearing, I start to make out a woman's body clothed in a long black dress, dark tendrils of hair covering her face. A twig snapped, and my head turned in the direction just in time to see a man walking toward the kneeling figure of the woman, his light hair slicked back, his body clad in a black suit. He comes to stand next to her. He helps the mysterious woman to her feet, and for the first time, I can see the woman's face more clearly, pink plump lips, high cheekbones, and rosy cheeks, with a splash of freckles. What surprises me the most is her eyes, the prettiest shade of violet. I look at the man next to her, and I can tell they are siblings. " Why are you trespassing on my territory?" I growl at them. She tilts her head, a mischievous smile grazing her plump lips. The man smirks. "Sister, it seems we didn't need to travel far." The man said. The woman's eyes follow me as I get into a fighting stance. While her mouth is twisted in a smirk, her eyes are dull, almost lifeless. "Answer my question." "Now, where is the fun in that, Alpha Ares?" she questioned. I was about to answer when I heard a growl from the right. I turn my head and see rogues coming in our direction. I yell out orders to my men, but before we even shift, the two siblings are in front of us in a blink. The woman turns her head in my direction and gives me the most devious smile. "Try to keep up, Alpha," she calls out to me before she pulls a sword out of nowhere and charges at the rogues with her brother. She glides gracefully, cutting down any wolf that crosses her path, an aura of death following her. She was beautiful chaos.
