Rider has always been an Introvert. Never really has been ever to talk to others, doesn't really plan to anytime soon. He isn't the easiest to work with, but he pretty much makes that up for his power. While choosing power greatly over communication isn't the best idea, especially in the type of battles inklings play in, it seems to work for Rider. Deep inside though, he hates being lonely. Not being able to talk to others without having that bad, terrified feeling that they'll be mad or what they say will not help is situation. That's until he meets a fellow extrovert in a turf war. Of course being on opposite teams means they have they splat each other without regret, but this Extrovert acted different than the others. He seemed more... Lively. More... Understanding than the others. Rider always felt a pang of guilt whenever he splatted the other. After a few battles of them playing against each other, he suddenly had the courage to talk to him. So, he walks up to him after their last battle and did something he hasn't done in years. "Hi, I'm Rider... What's your name?" Hi!!!! I'm not sure how many people remember, but I created a fanfiction a long time ago with... A LOT of smut. At the time, I was 16 and just obsessed over the ship. Maybe a bit too much, the way I wrote it at the time just sounds incredibly gross to me now- But if y'all still enjoy it, that's cool too! Anyways, I kinda thought it would be a neat idea to sorta expand on the idea I had with then living in an apartment together, maybe hint NSFW here and there, but it's not going to be an entire thing you read, just *hinted* that there's adult themes. About the story: Goggles and Rider have grown into young men, they're both 19 years of age, Rider being slightly older by a few months. Edit: Lord, this is old. Please exuse any mistakes 😭 Rider has had feelings for Goggles for awhile now but he can't come to admit it. He tends to either lash out or have a heart attack whenever he is around him. Him and his friends end up having a plan to get them together in the end, but there's a lot going on with Goggles and team blue. Rider is kicked to the curb in it all while Goggles plans on leaving his teammates for good. Characters and art don't belong to me! Splatoon belongs to Nintendo of course.
