Macey grows up in this cruel world full of secrets, death, and pain. Lots of pain. She writes letters to people she knew, and falls apart slowly. But as the world around her, and everyone in it, crumbles, she tries to hold it together and hide the fact that she's not okay.

Humans don't live on earth anymore. They have colonized the planet of Edyn, and are at war with the Dreadari, another displaced alien species hoping to claim Edyn as their own. Children born in this colony are raised to become soldiers to fight in a war that they didn't start, but they need to finish it for the survival of the human race. Following the death of Scottie Warren's twin brother, she is conscripted to take his place as a trainee for the aerial legions. Battling grief, forced to fight and kill for a war she does not believe in, Scottie begins to slowly lose her mind. It doesn't help that her Sargent, Ryker Vilrik, is as cruel as he is handsome. Things on planet Edyn are not as they seem. This is my first draft so please be kind. I will try and post new chapters weekly.

This chapter in my life was the most difficult I always wonder what would've happened if I hadn't ever started to use.

Just a journal of my thoughts, there's not much else to it. Given the current events of the world, I feel that it's going to be good to have something to type them into. I'm also going to crazy if I don't write them down, so there's that. The book cover is the album cover for one of Apashe's tracks, so credits to them, or rather, their company's assets. (Apashe is an EDM composer; they make fire music. I recommend listening to them. I forgot which album specifically, but that's about it.)

Handfuls of lost bits of memories, all consciously wasted. If only she spoke. If only she was truly awake. Yet here she sat with her knees on the floor bent over her bedsheets, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks, wetting the sheets as she stared with her face turned sideways to the window where rain was pouring during an autumn storm. The thought had turned this one woman into a troubled one, just like many others. That one thought had spread like a plague among the community, making them all slowly lose themselves by drowning in themselves, in their minds. A plague so known and feared, yet nobody dared to speak about it for the longest time.

Look at the world differently, peel off the wrapping and look at the contents. One never knows what may happen in this crazy hurricane called life so just relax but never let it pass you by. There are peaple who like to dance and those who like to sing, there are ones who like to paint and others prefer to race. This world is full of so many different people, so many different social groups. What happens when these people create a friendship. They create a place where they can be themselves, a place where they can be free. Its brilliantly insane.
