There Velvie meets many more of Dante's experiments and befriends them, they all plan to escape. On the night of the escape Velvie finds some files in Dante's office that brings her closer to finding her parents and getting home. Velvie and all the experiments escape and go back to Cameron's where she shows him the files. After several days of planning between Cameron, Kit, Lulu and Velvie they figure out how to get her home and to her family, but what she doesn't realize when she gets there is that it's all gone, including her parents.
