In this timeline, Goku's mother, Gine, was actually a low-ranking Angelic attendant named Aia, who, having been assigned to observe mortal worlds, fell in love with the pure potential of the Saiyan race and the pure heart of Bardock's son, Kakarot. She ensures his survival and instills her essence, sacrificing her immortality to give him a piece of her power before Planet Vegeta's destruction.
