A period piece set in the Soviet Union during the Revolution

Priscilla Gibson inherits two things from her grandfather: an old mansion and an odd-looking, golden key engraved with moons. Unbeknownst to her, the key opens the door to a kingdom from another dimension and time. In fact, the entire kingdom already knows her and expects her to follow the footsteps of her grandfather. Together with her new found allies, Priscilla goes on an adventure defending the kingdom from surrounding enemies while searching for the cure to the mysterious curse the whole kingdom suffers every 21st day of the month.

This was my English assignment. I also post my Art assignments on DeviantArt. So yeah... Based in a realm above the human realm, so basically Heaven but the realm has a lot more locations than just Heaven/Elysium. The assignment was to write a story which included the phrase "she was surprised to see that the key didn't fit". The characters are Lynn (11 years old), Amy (9 years old), and Maya (19 years old). Lynn and Amy are obviously still in school, and Maya is one of the younger people to have gained Guardian status. "Kabhi kabhi mohabbat sirf dilon ka rishta nahi hoti, balki taqdeer ka ek raaz hoti hai... Zainab - ek masoom lekin hoshiyaar ladki, jiski zindagi bachpan se hi ghumon ka saaya dekhti aayi hai. Maa-baap ki achanak wafat ne usse aur uski chhoti behen ko akela chhod diya, lekin uske dil mein hamesha ek ajeeb si kashish aur talash zinda rahi. Hasan - ek sanjeeda, deen-daar lekin raazdaar mizaaj ka naujawan, jiski aankhon mein ek purani kahani chhupi hai. Uska safar Madina ke roshan shehar se le kar Misr (Egypt) ke sunehri raaz tak jaata hai. Dono ki zindagi ek Sunehri Chaabi ke zariye aapas mein ulajh jaati hai - ek aisi chaabi jo sirf tala kholne ka kaam nahi karti, balki puri kismat badal sakti hai. Madina ki roohani galiyon se le kar Egypt ke pur-askar maqbaron tak ka safar... ishq, imaan, aur raaz ka milan... Kya Zainab aur Hasan, is raaz ko samajh kar apni mohabbat ko bachaa paayenge? Ya phir yeh chaabi, unke liye ikhtiyaar ke bajaye imtihaan ban jaayegi?_
