Flash stood on the ledge, looking back one last time at her home. I'm not sure if I should do this. What if this is a bad idea? But she watched her father take off, and, not wanting to let him to this alone, she followed him.

Marlina grew up in a foster homes. There is nothing special about her. She is average height, weight, and even looks average. Black hair, blue eyes, Caucasian Pale skin. And yet their is something special about her. She grows golden wings on the day of her thirteenth birthday. She finds out that when one falls off it becomes pure, real, fourteen carat gold. Soon after Marlina begins to develop strange ...... powers. She can control objects with her mind, can control any liquid in any of it's three states, and can be super agile, stealthy, alert, and acrobatic. Yet it all goes south ( for the winter) when her foster mom caches a glimpse of her wings. Soon after Marlina decides to go on the run to find out what is going on in this new and messed up world she had unwittingly entered. She then finds a girl named Madison and finds out she also has wings. They band together before setting off to find others like them. Characters thoughts are different from normal style; author's thought and or word in bold, underlined, and the other fount.
