Begging won't work, it only brings him more satisfaction. Crying will only prolong your life in the slightest, but at that point you'll wish you were dead. Being quiet only makes him know you're trying to be strong, though you're failing and you both know it. Nothing ever works, in this house of madness. Once you've stumbled upon the door step, you'll wish you had listened to the saying "curiosity killed the cat". Because in this house, you're the cat, also known as his prey. You'll never leave, never escape. Few make it past midnight, even less make it pass 2:00 a.m. Almost no one makes it past 4:00 a.m., and no one, has made it to the morning.

Poetry written over decades of my lifetime which reflect the spirit of survival. I Can Face Anything is a tribute to my own growth through trauma, health issues, and life events which shape us and if we let them, break us. This is a book of triumph over challenges which could have broken me, but did not. Now I firmly believer that God does not hand us tests we cannot pass. This work is a collection of the most personal and vulnerable thoughts I've had to myself. I had a lot of others written down in a journal, but I lost it and it made me quite sad so I decided to save them digitally. This is a sort of secret getaway for me because I have trouble expressing myself so freely like this in real life, so I lay them down here.
