The reason being is she's home schooled, being protected by her rich father from all the 'sins' in the real world. She is always so clumsy, so naïve, and what's the word? Oh that's right, unlucky. And because of this unlucky trait, she is kidnapped. And becasue she is kidnapped and has the unlucky trait, money is not what her captors want. No, it's something much worse.
