I never imagined the stories my mom told me about the Evil Queen and Snow White and so many other fairy tales were real. But they are. And they're about her and everyone else trapped in Storybrooke. But even if I knew this would happen, I never would have guessed that she's the villain. I also never would have guessed that I had powers, not unlike the ones my adopted mother has and that those would get me in a world of trouble.

Because of that, the school never felt like a distant fairytale to her. It was always a part of her life, woven into family conversations, old memories, and stories told around the dinner table. Growing up, Ian was curious, adventurous, and often found herself in trouble for asking too many questions. While others were happy accepting things as they were, Ian always wanted to know more. Now, with her first year at the School for Good finally beginning, she is determined to make her own story instead of living in the shadow of everyone else's. But some stories have a way of finding you first. They find themselves beset on all sides by the minions of the evil entity and must dig deep within their hearts and minds if they are to succeed in the enormous task in front of them. The story is a combination of science, magic and drama with humorous interludes. A feature of it is the development of scientific principles to extremes, which seem plausible at first sight, but which in reality are impossible and often absurd. The story is aimed at the young teenage to adult market, and the characters are a blend of real life and fantasy. It is the development of these unusual characters, and the combination of science and magic, which makes the book different from others of its genre. It is planned as Book 1 of a trilogy. Their entire body is deadly and their poisons and toxins are an anathema to almost all other life and when combined with their instinctive cruelty is very often deadly. But if given a reason, and an opportunity, anyone can change for the better. This is another trio of stories, similar to my previous collection, Hale's Graces, and featuring, in the first story at least, some of the same characters, as well as a number of characters, mostly dragons, featured in other, earlier stories. The first story in this collection leads on from the story narrated by Tiny in Hale's Graces. Each of these stories is named for and narrated by a different person, and is split into chapters, and the narrator is named in the chapter heading. As well as having a passing familiarity with the Hale's Graces collection, readers might also want to familiarise themselves with my earlier stories about dragons, especially but not limited to Dragon Isle. This is another story that features Lylnetrath and the Isle of Young dragons. The battle scene described in Nerecema Chapter 3 has always had a 'soundtrack' in the author's imagination - Mars from the Planet Suite by Holst. I thoroughly recommend listening to this piece of music as you read. Meanwhile, the young researcher accidentally gets into this whole story. The man she thought she knew turns out to be somebody quite different. Will Frank be able to get out of his imprisonment? Will the young researcher be able to get out of this story safely? And will the world survive after all the evil efforts of the Brotherhoods?
