He chuckled, pulling me into a tight hug. ❦ Seventeen-year-old Seph Callas has no memory of her childhood nor of her parents but except for that and a stubborn repeated dream that won't go away, everything is normal. If that isn't weird enough, Seph finds herself being saved by a handsome stranger who introduces himself as a private detective named Hades. Convincing her that it's no longer safe, he instructs her to come with him to a safe house. With only the annoying and moody Hades as company, she knows it's going to be a long journey although she finds herself trusting him nevertheless. But along the way, she finds herself being chased by things that shouldn't exist; demons, gorgons, minotaurs, gods, goddesses and even a three headed dog which makes her question everything that she once thought she knew especially because they're all after one thing, her. Has Seph made the right choice to trust him? Or is he the one that wants her dead? After all when you're told you're actually a Greek Goddess named Persephone, your real father is Zeus and you've got this big destiny set out ahead of you where you're going to end up being a Queen of the Underworld, you'd end up laughing about it too. cover design >> @sinadana >> based on greek mythology

Gertrude lived alone, in a stone garden she made herself, the statues never were smiling but the terror etched in them were soothing. A gorgon can't have friends so she has made them, but what if someone wanted to destroy Gertrude and her friends. This solitary gorgon is about to get extremely sociable.

This is the spin off to the story "The Jesters" that I have written so if you see this without reading that, I advise you read it. It was a hot summer day and you and the boys ran pit of things to do. That changes when you three decide to explore an abandoned carnival that you find on a walk home from the park. You explore the creepy place until dark falls over. When the three of you return to the entrance, the gate is locked and suddenly the lights go on at the carnival. This is an excerpt from my first novel, "Medousa;" a retelling of the myth of Medousa from her own point of view. It covers almost the entirety of her life from childhood as a slave in Sparta, to her death at the hands of Perseus. In this portion, Medousa rescues a group of Amazon children from a Hittite exploratory force that had invaded the territory of Themiscyra.
