This is an excerpt from my first novel, "Medousa;" a retelling of the myth of Medousa from her own point of view. It covers almost the entirety of her life from childhood as a slave in Sparta, to her death at the hands of Perseus. In this portion, Medousa rescues a group of Amazon children from a Hittite exploratory force that had invaded the territory of Themiscyra.

Seven sisters live in a haunted mansion to keep their secret safe. You know what, it's quite difficult to explain. Just read to find out.

The mixed bloods being hunted, called monsters and prosecuted for ages So when the war starts, and poucka hybrid Alec brings his human flame into their mixed blood camp, one of the leaders and his best friend Avery, part gorgon, part gargoyle mixed with human, is furious. She didn't trust the girl one bit, thought she'd complicate things& when a stranger's brought into the camp by unsuspecting half wood nymphs and Avery is wary of him, unsure what he is, the camp starts to turn against her, and the human Natalie only causes the scales to dip more to the stranger's favor against Avery, causing Avery to strengthen the belief that humans are not worth saving, even if they did share some of their blood

She's a lady, dressed like a monster with a heart full of hatred...

3,000 years ago, there lived a Gorgon named Medusa. At one glance, she could turn a person to stone with her ugliness. No one knew how old she was, or how she had gotten to be so hideous, but it was rumored that the Goddess Athena had made her that way. Medusa had never known love, constantly shunned by everyone, and anyone that dared to even enter her cave was turned to stone. Until one day, a blind girl was sent as the sacrifice.

Andromeda is a blind girl who leaves her home to find happiness, since her whole life she has been pushed around because she "sees" the world differently. On her journey through the forest she falls down a hole and losses counscionsness. When she wakes up and open her eyes she finds out she can see. Happiness overtakes her and she finds a new will to escape and have a better life. Sadly there is no way out, her only chance is through a crack in the wall that ultimately lead her to the entrace of the Underworld. A place she knows if home to all those who dared to cross the Gods, to demigodnesses like Medusa and her sisters and to people who died ahead of their time and were not able to live their life to the fullest, thus not making it to the Isles of the Blessed. What happens when Medusa and Andromeda meet? And what would happen when they fall in love with each other? When Andromeda warns Medusa that her husband Perseus was gathering the 4 holy gifts of the Gods in order to kill her and her sisters, how will they stop him and have their happiness? Another thing, how did she get in to the Underworld and will she find herself being more special than she could've ever imagined? Read to find out!
