༄ {takes place during phase 3} a midnight escape goes awry, and your boat somehow crashes on an island of trash in the middle of the ocean. it is there you find two estranged members of gorillaz, constructing the band's newest album. as much as you'd love to go home, you're forced to stay on the island, which proves to be difficult. but in the midst of all the music, whales, boogiemen, pirates, and the infamous murdoc...you find sanctuary in a certain blue-haired individual with a melodica and jet black rhinestone eyes.

Y/n is on a shitty tinder date with a guy she wants absolutely NOTHING to do with. A tall, sexy, slender, greenish tinted man walks into the bar of the restaurant she is at. She can't help but stare because she is automatically so attracted to him- like a magnetic force. The man, Murdoc, notices Y/n and her appealing figure. He can't help but crave her. When Y/n's Tinder date is angered by the lack of attention he is receiving from Y/n, he attempts to sexually assault her, and hit her. Murdoc takes charge.. and that's where the story really begins. Howdy! So I actually started writing this last year and never published it, so be prepared for a 2D x oc fic in the year of our lord 2020, because goddamn I guess it's my new hyperfocus. For reference, this takes place after/during Humanz release and before The Now Now, as the band are officially living in the spirit house. That being said, I'm just bad with timing in general, so be prepared for some goofs. Our main character Dorothy has been hired to write a book about the band Gorillaz, now in the later stages of our career. The only problem is that Dorothy is, by trade, and investigative reporter, and to say the least she can't help but apply her skills in a way that leads her to uncover some huge secrets. And perhaps some feelings for a certain singer. God, that was such a Wattpad description. Anyway, as a final note, this story is definitely a romance, and there will be a lot of that between Dorothy and 2D, however it's also intended to be a sort of mystery/drama. Expect there to be a lot of general stuff with the band, such as getting to know them and uncovering stuff, mixed with 2D chemistry. The main point of this story isn't just romance, but also to tell a really neat mystery! I just couldn't write something without including the whole band. Enjoy!
