Adam Cartwright knows his father as a Godly man of his word-whether the consequences are pleasing or not. At fifteen, Adam lands in jail after a mistake, and he reflects on a time at twelve when a past rebellion earned him the fulfillment of the "spare the rod" verse. Will Adam understand that his Godly father is teaching him the promises of God-and what will it mean this time? This story is a work of fanfiction based on the TV show Bonanza. All characters and settings belong to their respective owners. This is my own writing and not for commercial use.
