Is a member of a team of superhero teenagers and she seems to be happy with her life. But how long does happiness last when the life finally decides to take your break away. And return you to reality. Sequel to The Hero and The Villain. This book will focus on the following characters: Katie/Ocelot, Dick/Robin, Wally/KidFlash, Artemis/Artemis, John/Skull, Zatanna/Zatanna and Barbara Gordon. But don't worry. The main story will stay on Katie and Dick. Oh and I OWN NONE OF THE CHARACTERS IN THIS STORY EXCEPT FOR MY TWO OC'S KATIE AND JOHN.

Kiera, an orphaned girl, who causes way to much trouble on the distressed side of Gotham City has finally figured out about the word 'Karma.' Being in the wrong place at the wrong time is bad enough, now she has a bounty on her head because she pissed off a certain 4'4" criminal: The Penguin. Getting away from Penguin's grubby paws was easy the first time, considering a certain boy in blue showed up but next time it won't be so simple. Commissioner Gordon decides the best place for a spitfire like Kiera would be to put her in the Asylum and after some arguing and persuasion, he hauls her there. Making new alliances with some of Gotham's criminally insane was not on Kiera's to do list and neither was seeing an old enemy who stole away her whole childhood. Trauma like that changes a person, and Kiera will never be weak like that again because this time she's ready for it. But is she ready to let a certain vigilante steal her heart or will she just chase him away, like everyone else.

This is a realism-based story that takes place in modern 21st century Gotham City, a fictional city in an unnamed state along the eastern seaboard in what is assumed to be the United States. There are no meta-humans, or any other beings with any kind of super-powers, and all of the Bat's gizmos are based off of existing 2010 to 2020 technology. Bruce Wayne is a 27 year old man who struggles with being a CEO and a masked vigilante, Penguin is a typical, yet eccentric crime boss, Harleen Quinzel is having trouble dealing with what she was, compared to what the Joker turned her in to, and as for the Joker himself? He is, for lack of a better term: Bat-Shit crazy. This is my personal view of what might happen if a masked and armored vigilante began a crusade to clean up crime in a city the size of Boston or Manhattan. I tried to make the characters as real as possible, although I took a little poetic license and made the GCPD consider the Bat more of a nuisance rather than a wanted criminal, which while realistic would have created an entirely different story. The Joker is surprised by her actions at first, he thought he had complete control of her but clearly not! He then discovers he needs her more than he expected.
