Once upon a time, long long ago. Well more like 20 years ago. Belle married her beast Infront of 6000 of their closest personal friends, big cake. Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon Beast united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected King of the United States of Auradon. He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks basically all the really interesting people, and he booted them of to the Isle of the lost with a magical barrier to keep them there. This is my hood. No magic. No wifi. No way out. Or so I thought. Anyway this is not my story but the story of a lost Princess. Do you see that tower that towers over all the other buildings? It's kind of hard to miss. That is where our story starts. Hang on, you're about to meet us, but first this happened. The attitude of Flynn Rider but the kindness of Rapunzel. While getting to know him, Greta finds out something special happens when they are together. Who will she betray?

This story is inspired by 'darkness exists to make light truly count' by AquaQuadrant on AO3. What if Varian was the moondrop? What if he was kidnapped by Gothel? What if Varian and Rapunzel were raised as siblings?

What if Gothel wasn't as bad as originally thought? What if the Prince never actually rescued Rapunzel? What if Rapunzel turned out to be the bad guy?
