Life's most exquisite moments remain locked in the darkness.. Until now. This is a collection of short stories and flash fiction, typically around 500-750 words each. Nothing too unusual, except they are crafted by an author known for her 8K word chapters and rich, evocative descriptions. Words are not limitless, and each one means something. Flash fiction forces an author to prove the theory true. Some of these stories are written in first person and autobiographical in many ways. Others are responses to writing prompts, challenges, contests, and other assorted things to flex the creative muscle and move from the realm of dark fantasy, epic sagas, and intense emotion to a place more realistic. Some will likely make you blush deeply, and that's alright too. A few chapters are longer pieces: character development exercises, deleted chapters, or are stories told by pre-existing characters--so if you read my stories, beware of spoilers. My work tends to walk on the dark side, so there will likely be mature content. It's rebellious and doesn't listen well. It likes sex, drugs, rock n' roll, blood, and demonic possession. It thinks it's succeeded if it breaks your heart. Art is a cruel mistress. This is not anything written to win awards, recognition, or impress anyone. It is simply a diary left unlocked, understated musings of a writer with a dark but beautiful mind. All that's needed now is a quill, a jar of ink, and the romance of candlelight..and you. When a young boy is sent out to assassinate the king, King George IV, he believes he's going to get a good sum of wealth from this job. He finds out that the king had been dead for over 10 years, and no one knew for some odd reason. King George's ghost looms over the young boy, watching his next prey fall into all his traps. Because the king's friend has been sending people over to "assassinate" the king, they've all just become new sources of meat for the thing down in the basement. The friend supplies and the king allows.

The mansion lies in ruins-silent, lifeless, and steeped in shadows. But to him, it still breathes with her laughter. Her voice lingers in the halls. Her presence warms the cold. Sephiroth lives in a dream no one else can see, haunted by a love that death couldn't steal-and grief that won't let him go. He speaks to her, laughs with her, builds a life around a ghost...all while the world crumbles quietly around him. But the dream are fragile things. And the mind, even more so. As the seasons change and memory fades, Sephiroth must confront the truth buried beneath the ashes. Because the longer he clings to the illusion, the closer it draws him to ruin. And some dreams don't let go without a fight.

This is just a collection of the stories I wrote in my english class. Most of them are writing exercises but some are also my own ideas. They are all unconnected but not all finished, so don't be confused if the story seems out of place: It's intentional. I would love to get some feedback on these! The students avoid her, whisper her name, and act as though they know something she doesn't. She notices a boy sitting alone under a dead tree-Damien Virel, pale, sharp, and impossibly still. His silver eyes seem to recognize her, though they've never met. When she asks about him, she's told he's dangerous and off-limits. That night, Elena begins to have vivid dreams of a woman in white, standing in the woods, calling her name. She wakes to find her bedroom window open-even though she locked it. Strange messages start appearing at school, warning her to leave. But something compels her to stay, and she finds herself drawn toward the forest everyone avoids. In the woods, she's attacked by a creature with glowing red eyes. Just before it strikes, Damien appears out of nowhere, faster and stronger than any human. He kills the creature and tells Elena to staym away from the forest. "Next time," he says, "I might not be there." As he vanishes into the fog, Elena realizes she's stepped into something ancient and dangerous. Damien isn't just mysterious-he's not human. And Hollow Creek is hiding more than just whispers in the dark.
