Cover picture NOT MINE. First story; I'm good at essays, but not so good at creative writing. You have your main character moving into a small town, similar to Derry from It. Everything seems normal aside from the constant stares from locals. Fitting in with the new town pretty well, she is accepted as an insider. As an insider you start to see strange things as normal. The seemingly new school has cob webs in the corners and scratches that look like they were made by fingernails in the bathroom stalls. There are not many rules, with the adults acting like mindless drones and the teens running the town. There is just the usual: #1 Silence is never good, #2 Never look at something that doesn't want to be seen, and the most important rule #3 NEVER miss a high school football game.

I know it's ridiculous, and FYI reading this is not adequate revision for English gcse's that being said I'm getting ready to do my gcses so updates definitely won't be frequent. I apologise if you feel like the way the characters act isn't really in line with the book, but tbh don't really care. this is idiotically niche so I don't expect many people to read this. THIS IS BASED ON THE BOOK NOT THE MUSICAL.

Mary Stanton has started to feel like she's falling a part...but Mother assures her this is just her imagination. Thankfully Patricia is around! Patricia the doll is Mary's very best friend--Mother assures her that she is special and that is why the other school children do not keep her company. Patricia has only half her limbs, but Mary loves her nonetheless. Mother is harsh sometimes, but Mary is sure she knows best. She does so try her best to please her, but no matter how hard she tries, it isn't often enough. Oh no! Where has Patricia gone? Now Mary is all alone...and Mother seems angry.
