Venice Carter is a young aspiring actress, and at the age of 14 she makes her debut in the form of a TV show audition. Things seem great; she has a long term boyfriend named Caleb, and as she gets older her career gets better. She has phases of loving her fans and phases of hating them, and after a few years, Venice and Caleb get married. Eventually, the reality of her lifestyle catches up with her sending her into a downward spiral of depression, and she even turns to drugs and alcohol. Will rehab help her or will the birth of her child end it all?

Eight different teenagers, gifted with mystical abilities, get an invitation from Laevus Acadamey, a school specially made for supernatural creatures where they help teens control their abilities and become powerful. As they get to know each other through some fights, rivalries and friendships, they end up fighting the same evil who threatens not only their school, but their lives and everyone else's.

Ember gulped, worried about what she would have to do this time. Every Angel is recycled. Her last mission was to save a boy from suicide. His girlfriend had died in a car wreck, and it was her job to fill the hole she had created in his heart. "Ember Cantoff, are you ready to receive your mission?" God directly addressed her, and she shivered in fear. "Yes, sir." There was no other possible words he would deem acceptable. She waited in those several terrible seconds to find out her new mission.
