It has been three years since Aaron Harrington's wife left him. Unable to move on, battling alcoholism, and facing problems at work, he struggles to maintain the will to live. For Jack Graeme, it has been three years since he met the married Anne Harrington. Now that she is his wife, he is forced to come to terms with the effect his actions - and Anne's - have had on her ex-husband.

The clock beside my bed reads 10:15 and I roll my eyes, the girl from last night is still fast asleep and now that I am sober, I feel sudden regret from drinking so much last night. I know I probably shouldn't be out most weekends, but I guess it just helps me to relax from all the constant nagging I get from everyone, but I also can't help thinking that sometime soon the perfect girl will come my way. I use the same old excuse that I won't find her if I'm sat on my arse all day and choose to party. In a way, I'm helping my future, by putting my liver at risk and giving myself the reputation of a player.

Anne seems to have it all - at only twenty-five, she's a freelance theatre critic and married to Aaron Harrington, a wealthy businessman one year her junior. But after two years of marriage, the couple realizes something - they can't have children. What ensues is a visit to Dr. Graeme, the doctor at the country's most highly-acclaimed fertility clinic. But what happens when Anne starts to develop feelings for Dr. Graeme that might put her marriage - and her chances of having a baby - on the line?

As a Global Studies Major I have come to find out the importance of diversity throughout my collegiate experience. Coming from a place of little diversity to a place like Seattle where diversity is widespread has impacted my outlook on life and worldview as a whole. Starting off at Seattle Central College I was able to take so much away through my collaborative undertakings in a diverse setting. From new friendships to new perspectives the implementation of the collaborative process was a key factor in building and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
