Many would say that Cecelia Bennett is just a normal, American girl. She has good grades, an exceptionally loving boyfriend, amazing looks, and supportive friends and family. You could say she has it all.
Although knew she should be thankful for this, she can't help but feel as though something is missing in her life, causing a tremendous amount of guilt in her day-to-day life. She's constantly battling with her thoughts; telling herself what she should be doing and feeling, and comparing them to the things that she unfortunately feels in reality. Her parents would think it was disgraceful, a sin, truly. If only she had the courage to tell her friends or family about the sinful thoughts. The thoughts that kept her up at night, the thoughts that made her cry until her pillows were completely covered in tears and mascara. The thoughts that make her question her own worth.
While she tries everything to keep her real life and feelings a secret, her parents seem to have figured it out leading her into a path of many dilemmas, and maybe even love?
