Grandad Stories

I'm just writing down stuff that makes me laugh and cry when I think of you. I miss you so much and I don't even know if you know. There is suicide in here. Please don't make yourself suffer through this if you are not able to at the moment. This is purely for me to have a memoir of his good time and bad times that made us connect like we did. If this could help somebody then I really hope it does. If you are suffering through tough times then please connect with someone or something because I promise you that there is someone who cares.

A STORY BASED ON SHAKESPEARE'S THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, READ ME! In this lively comedy of love and money in sixteenth-century Venice, Bassanio wants to impress the wealthy heiress Portia but lacks the necessary funds. He turns to his merchant friend, Antonio, who is forced to borrow from Shylock, a Jewish moneylender. When Antonio's business falters, repayment becomes impossible--and by the terms of the loan agreement, Shylock is able to demand a pound of Antonio's flesh. Portia cleverly intervenes, and all ends well (except of course for Shylock!).

Grandad Nuc (1837 - never) is just a normal grandad... but he's very very old. Some legends say that he was born at the age of sixty, from crossing a goat and a grandad-shaped rock. In this short story in rhyme you can learn everything about his long life, frof the point of view of one of his heirs.
