Dorothy is torn from the world of luxury that she knows when her private podship is thrown to Luna in a space storm. Her ship collides with another like it as it approaches Lunar Space, only this one is carrying Thaumaturge Luca. The Thaumaturge is killed in the crash, and Dorothy unknowingly brings the wrath of his brother, Thaumaturge Atticus upon herself.
