Broken Promises is a sad, love story about a girl named Kayla who has to move away from her only friends, Shawn Mendes and Matthew Espinosa. Before she leaves, they promised to never forget her and that they'll always be best friends. As time goes by, Shawn and her lose touch and he soon forgets about her. They cross paths once again and she has to think about whether or not to let him back into her life. Up to this point, she has many new friends who will stand by her side. Instead of letting him back in, she chooses to leave for college and figure out the mystery of her father's death.
