Grantaire Stories

"I-" Enjolras' face is a mask of genuine confusion. It's captivating. Grantaire turns away. He can't do this. He had prepared for the disaster that would be the "Why Are Meetings In a Place With an Open bar a Bad Idea" discussion. He wasn't, <i>wasn't</i> prepared for <i>this.</i> There's a reason Grantaire doesn't go to the Les Amis meetings anymore. His abstinence is only part of it. ――― I needed a positive character growth for Grantaire. With this oneshot, I'm giving it to him. This is a meant as a study of "what would have to happen to set R on a better life path" and you can see I have a lot of feelings on the matter. Not only the alcohol addiction stands in Grantaire's way of making something of his life - his view of the world, his obsession with Enj and his own struggles with mental health are also important factors. This oneshot is me giving him the starting point to work on those things and recreate them into something healthier. _____ TW: a bit of swearing, a bit of French, a bit of intense dialogues :'3

For Enjolras, the past six months have been the most incredible time of his life. Six months ago, he married his best friend Grantaire. Life couldn't be any better - and then, in addition to all of the great things going on, he and his business partner, Marius (both of whom are lawyers at Valjean Law Firm), get to take the lead on one of the biggest trials of the decade. Basically just a fun, domestic, modern day Les Mis story featuring all of your favorite revolutionaries!

A short story about Grantaire and Enjolras. Grantaire had never been very confident or outgoing, and lately his life has been kind of rough. His parents died and gave all their money to his sister, and he lost his job in the matter of a week. So it was not uncommon for him to be hanging around a bar trying to drink away his problems. At first his drinking wasn't an issue, but soon his life loomed over him like an old rotting willow tree. Threatening to topple at any second and persistently pushing bottle after bottle into his hand.

Enjolras and Grantaire fight, but that's nothing new. This particular one is bad though. So bad that Grantaire storms out of their apartment. And Enjolras is angry. And therefore ignores any call his boyfriend makes. There isn't anything he regrets more.

If somebody would ask him how all of this started, Enjolras would answer that it was all Courfeyracs fault. Because of course, it was always Courfeyrac who slid people into the most awkward situations ever.

in which a group of misfits who are each extraordinarily angry about the state of the government have quirky misadventures together. les amis modern sit-com au! a cross between Friends and Parks and Recreation many people on tumblr and other various social media platforms have had this idea, I just kind of made it happen, so the idea isn't exactly "mine" per se, but there have been so many people with the same idea that I don't know who to give credit to. the characters of "les amis" come from the book les miserables by victor hugo. however, the plot and a few side characters all belong to me.

An Enjoltaire fic where in a soul's first life their soulmate's last words are written on their wrist. There will be a plot twist that allows the story a happy ending, so this isn't an angst fic. Also this isn't 18+, so all readers are welcome. I hope you guys like it!!!!!! (BTW, I am currently on a kinda long hiatus, but I promise that I will continue this within the next few months)

Élise was born into a decent, middle class family, but with her father's death and her brother drinking and gambling away his small inheritance, she moved to Paris, in hope of finding better prospects. With rents going up and wages going down, she eventually ends up living, and then almost dying on the streets, before being rescued by two young medical students. With an introduction to Les Amis de l'A.B.C., she finds the world opening up before her again, and discovers her place in it. Based primarily on Victor Hugo's novel, with some reference to the musical and the 2012 film. Some parts also inspired by Henry Mayhew's London Labour and the London Poor. I will confess myself to be more of a historian than an author, and as such, this book is primarily an attempt to bring some history into a retelling of the aspect of Les Miserables that seems to have captured so many people's imaginations - that is to say, the June Rebellion of 1832 and the lead up to it. {Enjolras x OC}

In this story, I will write Les Miserables one-shots which are based in my mind on the colors Red and/or Black. They probably won't be long, and I certainly hope that they're good, or decent. I am great at writing synopses wow okay bye. PLEASE NOTE that I did make an actual cover for this, but it refuses to upload. Therefore, I have that ^ for the time being.

Grantaire's life changes when his eyes met the brightest star in all of Paris. Just when things start to feel dark, Enjolras steps into Grantaire's little spark of light that is left. He makes Grantaire believe in things he never believed in before. He gives R a safe space. It's Enjolras who is saving Grantaire... But he doesn't know about the sceptic's feelings about him... until now.
