April is a thirteen-year-old girl from Kimura Town in the Midton Region, where the standard age to become a trainer was increased to at least 12 or 13. April dreams of becoming the world's best grass & poison type Pokemon trainer & coordinator, being the first gym leader who not only is strong but also shows off Pokemon beauty. She sets out on her first pokemon journey with her newly obtained pokemon starter from her own mother, Professor Evergreen. Along the way, she encounters many Pokemon, friends, rivals, and faces against evil criminals.
