Let's jump ahead 4 years into the future, 4 years since the Pines twins left Gravity Falls, to be exact. Dipper and Mabel Pines, the small town heroes of Gravity Falls' Oregon. Along with their 2 great-uncles, Stanford and Stanley Pines. Also twins, the two brothers had a lifelong dream of sailing and finding treasure. But after 4 years of adventure, babes, and treasure, their old age caught up to them, and after a lot of bickering, the two brothers decided it was time to retire, much to Dipper and Mabel's delight. After the two twins parents had heard about the two great uncles leaving Gravity Falls, they decided there was no reason to send the younger set of Pines twins back to Gravity Falls. But with Dipper's pleads and the return of Stanley and Stanford, they let them go back to Gravity Falls for the summer.
