The summer after graduation was supposed to be simple for Mabel. But with Dipper away on a summer internship and the future looking uncertain before her, Mabel Pines returns to Gravity Falls. Back to the old Mystery Shack, back to the people she was once so close to, and back to the familiar strangeness she once called home. It should feel comforting. But it doesn't. The nightmares she's carried since that summer when she was 12 follow her back. Except... they're fiercer now. More deliberate. Less like memories, and more like something watching her remember. And the worst part is, this time she's alone. At least until she isn't. The source of her fear being back in this town. Bill Cipher. But Bill isn't supposed to exist anymore. They defeated him. Right? "Dipper was relieved when he saw that oh so familiar sign: "WELCOME TO GRAVITY FALLS, OREGON". Norma, however, apparently didn't notice it, because she sped right past the turn she should've made to get to Gravity Falls. "Uh, Norma? That was our turn back there, you missed it." "No it wasn't," the teenager replied matter-of-factly. "Our turn isn't for a few hours, Dipper." "But didn't you see the "Gravity Falls, Oregon" sign? We just passed it." Dipper fiddled with the brim of his hat nervously. He had a weird feeling about this, wouldn't Norma know how to get to Wendy's house if she was her friend? "Yeah, I saw it. But we're not going there, Dipper." Dipper just wanted junk food, but what he got was incredibly lost on the outskirts of Gravity Falls. He just wanted to get a ride home, but what he got was kidnapped by a reckless teenager called Norma with no regards for road safety. He just wanted to escape, but what he got was kept hostage at a sleepover thrown by three fangirls.
