The topmost floor on the tallest building in New York City is a penthouse that has seen a lot in its five decades of existence. And its sharp sight continues to witness it all - the lies, deception and cold-blooded murder hiding in plain sight among the sparkling citylights, which no one else notices. It sees a young man's crazy obsession to run a company better than his father did, and it sees the wrongs he has to commit in his way. It sees a young woman's blind aspiration to be a brilliant lawyer, and it sees the way she crushes any obstacles beneath her stiletto heels. It sees the darkness hidden beneath smiles. It sees the devil in disguise. And it foresees the rise of a monster with two heads. It can envision the monster burning down everything in its path... until the flames climb up to the penthouse and blind it of its sharp sight. ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ ◾ Brielle felt confused, off-balance, haywire - he'd just had a near brush with death, and Victor was smiling? Was he concussed? Delirious? Worry quickly overtaking the daze in her mind. "Vic, are you...?" But the rest of her question was left caught in her chest, because Victor's palms suddenly loosened their grip on her elbows to run up her arms, fluttering over her shoulders and climbing up her neck to settle around her cheeks, cupping her face. Her lips were agape, eyes looking deep into his happy ones, looking for answers, when suddenly, she felt the distance between their faces getting smaller. Alarm bells went off in her head when she could feel his warm exhales over her skin - and they turned shrill when she felt herself shiver at the proximity. What was wrong with her? What was wrong with him? And yet, when his lips finally completed their journey to hers - one that felt like it took too long and happened too quickly, at the same time - none of the thoughts in Brielle's head could spell the feeling of 'wrong' in any way.

Disgraced Prince Gavin has one shot at redemption -- murdering an innocent girl. For payback. For revenge. For forgiveness. The reasons abound, but the mission remains the same. The blood of his kidnapped sister weighs heavy on the kingdom and, as the tragedy that befell her was the fault of Gavin, it's up to him to make it right. Told from the perspective of Gavin (aka Wren, his covert name) and the other members of his crew - an Academy graduate with something to prove, a sharpshooter with a broken voice, an assassin with a growing conscience - this novel mixes the intrigue of The Scarlet Pimpernel and The Count of Monte Cristo with a new twist on the Prince Charming tale.

Over 200 years ago, vampires crawled from the shadows to conquer the human race, which led to the collapse of modern society. In Chicago, the bloodthirsty creatures divided themselves into five factions, and the humans, upon reaching 20 years of age, had to partake in the Choosing Ceremony that decided which faction they would pledge their loyalty to. Blood in exchange for protection against other dangers hidden in the darkness. Kate Kempton is a human on a mission. Her older sister's mysterious death led to a dangerous resolve. Upon coming of age, she would join Dauntless to find out what really happened three years before. Unfortunately, on Choosing Day, Kate draws the attention of Eric Coulter, the cruel and young faction leader, who had never been intrigued by a human before. Can she survive the warrior faction and find answers? What will get her killed first, Eric or the secrets buried deep into the faction? --- Divergent characters belong to Veronica Roth. I only own my original characters. Available on AO3. Don't copy or translate to other platforms. This story is loosely based on the movies. I use the Divergent world as a foundation for a mostly non-canon story.

He breathed out "You're the person." There was crushing silence in the room after the declaration. Aidan blinked back the tears welling up and made a movement to get up and leave. Jake grabbed his arm and dragged Aidan into his own, crushing his lips to the other man's in a desperate kiss. When he drew back breathlessly he rasped "same," before he dove back in. They kissed as if they were dying of thirst and the only way to quench it was found in the other's mouth. Their hands roamed one another's bodies, committing hard planes to memory, their existence distilled down into the points of contact as they tangled together. The world came rushing back when they heard the bedsprings in the other room creak agonizingly, reminding them that the walls in the house were thin. ............................... Aidan Greene is a cynical writer who believes every relationship begins with an already determined expiration date and doesn't believe in the kind of romance he depicts in his books because he's never experienced anything remotely similar. Then he spends an afternoon trapped in an elevator with his girlfriend's boss.
