For years, my parents made my life a living hell, screaming at me to find a "normal" girlfriend and fit into their perfect box. They didn't care that I fell somewhere on the asexual spectrum-that the college hookup culture nauseated me, and that intimacy wasn't something I chased.But desperate people do desperate things. Facing the collapse of their business empire, my fiercely homophobic parents threw their morals out the window the second a multi-billion-dollar lifeline was dangled in front of them. The price? Me.Forced to sign a binding marriage contract under the threat of losing everything, I am thrown into a room with my new "husband"-only to find myself staring into the dark, possessive eyes of Thor, the ex-boyfriend I left behind. He doesn't want a normal relationship, and he doesn't care about my boundaries. He wants absolute compliance. I thought I was escaping my family's prison, but I just walked right into his trap.

Pride Month Challenge

The Hanahaki Disease is virus born from unrequited love, where the victim's throat will fill up with flowers, they will then proceed to cough up the petals, sometimes even the flowers. One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though their memories may disappear along with the petals. If they choose neither option, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually die. There is no specific flower for the disease, but it'll either be the crushes favourite type of flower, or their favourite color, or even have its own meaning. We can only hope for the victims, and pray that their crush's favorite flower isn't a type of rose. Mica is a young man who finds that he has the Hanahaki virus creeping into the nation, while on top of that, he finds he wasn't all that he thought he was. Will he survive the Flower Sickness, or will he suffocate and return to his home plane?
