Remy Crane fixes things - engines, vintage motorcycles, machines other people have given up on. He finds the broken ones, brings them back, makes them honest. He's good at it. He's been good at it his whole life. He isn't looking for anything at a bike show in Harlow when a twenty-two year old engineering student asks him about the inside seam of a saddlebag. But Noah Everett has always asked the right questions. What follows is a year in the lives of two men learning what it means to finish what someone else started - a 1957 Harley-Davidson found in a stranger's garage, a philosophy worn in old ink on Remy's ribs, and something neither of them has words for yet.
