A bookwormish girl. A spoiled, troubled heir. A love that looks beneath the surface. After the tragic death of her mother and the loss of her father's job, Isabelle and her family move to a rural town in Kansas to start a new life and have a new hope for the future. Isabelle, a bibliophile, longs for a good read and suddenly stumbles upon a mysterious fairytale book in a secret nook of the local library. That's when everything changes... When her father gets into some hospitality trouble with a bitter, rich (yet handsome) young man Isabelle has no choice but to offer herself as a maidservant to help her family. Now, Isabelle must adjust to a whole new world as a servant in a large mansion with many colorful servants and easily tempered (yet handsome), "beastly" Master Alexander Bettman, a troubled young man who is more than meets the eye. Will Isabelle be able to endure her new surroundings? What is the true reason behind the Master's bitterness, and is it possible for a man like him to come to Christ after so much pain? Based off the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast, this is a story of how the power of kindness and God's word can bring the most beautiful kind of healing even in the most "beastly" circumstances.

The 1920s were well known for the time of prosperity that they brought, just before the Great Depression. However, a whole network of criminals and gangs had cities like Chicago and New York in an iron fist. Evelyn is a bar singer, trapped in a city where death could be around every corner. Her area is being robbed under the guise of protection fees, and she's struggling to collect the money to escape the city. James and Harry are recruits for Don Dee's gang, but already are proving to be rising stars. When James watches Evelyn at one of her shows during a deal, he sets into a motion a series of events which will cause James to question nearly everything he knows, and challenges him where his loyalties really lie. Constructive criticism is much appreciated, I'm always looking to improve!

The sequel to "Prohibition" introduces The Iron Grip. We are transported to 1930s New York, the time of The Great Depression. Industrialist Wyatt Dalton fights to keep his father's steel empire from crumbling under the weight of the Great Depression. His world is upended by the return of Samira Jones, once a vibrant blues singer who vanished years ago, now a "terrifyingly competent" executive who hides her past behind a mask of cold professionalism. As Wyatt attempts to bridge the gap between their shared history and their professional present, he remains unaware that Samira is guarding a secret so dangerous it could shatter their lives in a world strictly divided by race and class. The Iron Grip is a sweeping tale of forbidden longing and the desperate lengths two people will go to protect the innocent when the world offers no place to hide.

Two men, two different levels in society. World War 2 is over. ****DISCLAIMER: This story is not meant to be taken seriously, nor as a total joke. It is farcical, therefore the absurdity of the story with the serious delivery. The concept is quite sick and twisted, but it is a narrative based upon the writing style for a story I am reading for language arts. It is a historical fiction novel, however based on the seriousness of the topic, I find it insanely absurd how more than have of the story revolves around sexual acts--Yet it is about murder and dictatorship, as well as conspiracy, so this was a reaction idea I had. PLEASE DO NOT BE OFFENDED BY ANY MATERIAL

The Sapphire Awards 2020 Winner - 2nd Place in Historical Fiction The Sapphire Awards 2020 Winner - Best Cover Art Review from @Stahlist This charming short story depicts a woman grieving for her husband after a terrible accident leaves him bedridden in a coma. With undeniable literary flair, the author relates a series of events that will compel the reader onwards, proving at turns emotionally stirring, subtly unsettling and pleasantly surprising. For a nice, old-fashioned story about a creepy house with untold secrets, this is a great book to go with.

The story of Alexandra's Great Adventure takes place in the late 1920s in a small town named Piešťany located in Slovakia. It tells the story of a young girl who's dream is to become the first women kayaker in the Olympics and to win a gold metal but along the way to living her dream she runs into troubles that nearly break her forever. This books shows the life of a young girl surviving on her own in a time of loneliness and sends a message that no matter what the obstacle it is possible to achieve anything if you put your mind to it. Along Alexandra's journey she encounters many obstacles and has to learn to deal with them in different ways. The book also introduces several non-fictional characters that made a difference in the time of the Great Depression like Dorothea Lange, and Arthur Rothstein. Altogether this story tells a compelling story of an athlete that will not stop to follow her dreams. This is a motivating story full of heartbreak, challenges, and amazing surprises.
