(Chapter 42 uploaded on February 18, 2026) Ah, the stock market crash of 1929... One of the hardest times in American History. People left and right lost their businesses, jobs, homes, even their families. Lost among the mix of orphans and widows were two children, abandoned in the cold streets of New Orleans, Louisiana. If not having any money or family wasn't enough, there's a serial killer on the loose. Their biggest fear was having to face the killer, but one thing their parents taught them before this all started... This world is cruel and you have to work hard to survive in it. "Under The Red Skies: Echoes of Resistance" is a compelling historical fiction novel that takes readers on a journey through the hardships of World War II. The story follows the parallel journeys of multiple protagonists. Francois, a Parisian bookseller who is forced to hide in his bookstore's basement after his wife is killed and his daughter goes missing during the German occupation of Paris. As the war rages on, Francois must summon the courage to join the French Resistance and search for his daughter. Camille and Capucine find themselves thrust into a world of fear and uncertainty. From the fall of France to the occupation of Paris, they must navigate the dangers of war, relying on their wits and the help of the French Resistance to survive. Forced to flee into the wilderness and leave behind their privileged lives, the sisters are swept up in a mission to help save their country from the brutal grip of the Germans. The novel is a poignant portrayal of the struggles and sacrifices made by ordinary people during the war. It depicts the devastation of war and the hope that perseveres in the face of great adversity. The story explores themes of love, loss, courage, and the enduring human spirit. "Under The Red Skies" is a captivating and emotional read that will stay with readers long after they turn the last page. It is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit and a reminder of the power of hope in even the darkest of times.

In 1931, a famed Baron went missing in the city of Dundee, Scotland. A rather famed inspector has come to investigate the mysterious disappearance and he and his fellow companion, who is a detective, find files that are rather shocking to the Royalty of the World. The Baron's granddaughter also joins in, but she finds other shocking secrets too... secrets that are rather not to be said nor told to anyone at all. The Admiralty also investigates, not expecting to find anything suspicious. But they find something concrete and suspect enough to tell the King of it all. But there's a coup d'etat in play... and the key players are in the heart of the British Empire itself. This brand-new story will have 17 main chapters, a Prologue and an Epilogue and a bonus chapter, amidst other fine details. Enjoy the story whilst you can. Rated T for Strong Language, Some Violence, Heavy Gore and Heavy Action. From Lord Wittham, The Author Of The Lost Signals.

Thanksgiving of 1933 is a story about a desperate family that lives on a farm during the peak years of the great depression. Thanksgiving is only two days away, and they have to hunt for their food. Caused by the overhunting of wildlife, they have to come up with an alternative for Thanksgiving dinner, or they won't have anything to eat. It's about struggle and hope at the end of the tunnel through community and faith. This story has religious themes to help emphasize the time in history. One scene contains potentially disturbing visuals of hunting.

This is a story based on the series of the Wortham-Hammond Family collection stories, and Country-Road chronicles (Almost the same series; same character and made by same author). They are made by Leisha Kelly, she is an amazing author and my most favorite. If you don't know the series I suggest looking it up, I do have lots of mentions that come from the book but I do have some of my own ideas in the mix. The title is a work-in-progress. Updates may be unstable, but I have three chapters already planned out. (Cover made with Desyner) Description: America feels like she has failed her family. Her children. The year is 1931, the stock market had crashed two years ago, and America and the states had been moving along pretty well through it all, but just a week into April, everything went wrong for them. Out on the side of the road, America has 16 children with her and the other 32 are on a train, and their on their way to the great state of Nebraska, Things were supposed to be better there. But when they find out things aren't any better than they were in New York, America isn't sure what to do with herself, and her kids. Where will they stay? What will they eat? How will they afford anything TO eat? Come along on a CountryHumans adventure during the Great Depresssion and find out how America, the momma-bear, trudges on to hold up her family with barely a dollar to their name.
