In a sense it's just like the green flash that you seen when you think that you're going to die on a deserted island, however the maroon crow is different, it's considered a different form of omen, however the meaning of the omen can be vague in itself, the maroon crow could cause great darkness or bring light, or maybe even somewhere in the middle, now the 'crow' isn't always a bird it is in itself a slight form of deity maybe even a demi-deity, for centuries they have been viewed as the spawn of Lucifer or the Lord himself, however that is not their true heritage, they are born from a mortal parent and a godly parent, conceived during a blood moon, during a murder of crows circling around the hospital. So be warned their powers are stronger than you think.
