Once-ler's dream of biggering his thneed business soon turns into a nightmare when he finds himself being haunted by visions of his sinister alter-ego, the Greed-ler, a dark manifestation of his own ambitions. As Once-ler's business continues to grow, so do his feelings of stress and guilt, and Once-ler begins to question himself and his sanity as Greed-ler continuously appears to him through various hallucinations and nightmares. Forever fueled by the relentless desire for more, Greed-ler is determined to manipulate Once-ler through these illusions in order to take over his mind and make their shared dreams a reality. OR The story of how the Once-ler became the Greed-ler. Follows Once-ler during his first year or so of Thneed Inc's operation, as Once-ler struggles with biggering his business, his family, the Lorax, and his own greed.
