Keeper0fCrows
After five years of being a devout Hunter of Artemis, Thalia Grace is certain that five more will be a breeze. Then what's five more after that? Then ten more, and twenty, and thirty and... how long is eternity again?
Doesn't matter. Thalia is happy where she is; she knows that for certain. She has a family of close sisters, a gift of eternal youth, and a high ranking position as Artemis's right hand woman. What more could she possibly ask for? Any unreasonable worries or regrets she has, she just needs to bury them deep. After all, that's what she's always done, and it hasn't failed yet. It's how she keeps moving. Its how she makes those endless years tick by.
But when Thalia is suddenly thrust into another prophecy ordained quest after so many years, forcing her away from her fellow hunters, she has nothing left to distract her. Deep rooted desires and ghosts from her past come creeping in to haunt her, and with nowhere to run on her slow trek north, she has no choice but to confront them.
Thalia has never been scared of much, but the thought of unleashing all the things she's kept locked away terrifies her, and what's worse is that the closer she gets to finishing her quest, the closer she comes to having to make a decision that could change everything. The faces she meets along the way only help to complicate things more, but nobody is worse than her stubborn quest companion; a loner demigod with an affinity for trying to open the doors she desperately wants to keep closed.
Maybe Thalia shouldn't worry about any of that stuff, though. After all, she was sent on the quest for a reason, and should she fail, there might be a force far more terrifying than her own demons trying to break out...
{A slightly more mature take on the series taking place in the cast's 20's}
