We've all heard the stories of Persephone and Hades, but what about the world outside of them? In the shadows of gods, a young girl must survive in a world left to ruin. Follow Erianthe in her journey in Erianthian Mysteries. This is a short story I submitted for a project for a classical mythology class. This story is from the perspective of a young girl that resided in the town Demeter stayed in during the time of Persephone's absence. Persephone was raised in the mortal realms. She knew nothing of the other gods. As her powers continued to grow stronger, gods started to speak within Olympus of a fertility goddess hidden among mortals. Zeus knew of his daughter's upbringing and the powers she held at the tips of her hands. He had promised his brother a wife. Demeter would have his head, but she could not defy him. Fate would have it's way regardless of how the gods wanted it.

She beings to have weird dreams about a certain ill tempered god of the sea and ocean but not only that her normal everyday life starts to change making her suspicions grow.
