After the team learns that their fearless leader Shiro survived the fight against the evil Zarkon and welcome him back to reassume his position Lance ultimately assumes the worse: That Keith would want his lion back and Allura would keep blue as she shows remarkable progress with it. Feeling useless to his team he secretly takes an escape pod and tries to go home back to earth on his own, wondering if everyone's lives would be better off without him. Coincidentally during his journey through space his pod stumbles upon a rift into an alternate reality. A reality where he never existed. It is in that reality that Lance truly learns how valuable he is to his friends. -I'm so sorry for any grammar mistakes I miss or if something in the story sounds really wrong... after the great sacrifice of both Princess Allura and the former Empress Honerva, Altea was once again recreated garnering peace within the universe. Pidge returned to Earth together with her family, and Shiro finally got married. Keith returned the peace and strengthened the alliance between the Galra Empire and the rest of the galaxy. Hunk became the master chef that binds all the other alien species together for a meal. Lance however, stayed in the new Altea. He surrounded himself with the things Allura loves and became an Altean himself after the princess passed on a few of her quintessence to him before her own destruction. All was well at the moment. Lance was finally getting the hang of things and accepting that Allura, the love of his life is gone. He finally moved on with his life and maybe learn to love again. Everything was going well... or so he thought...

A few days after Blackout, the crew finds someone in the same debris field that Shiro disappeared in. it isn't Shiro, but it's someone that leads them in the most unbelievable way.
