Grissom bumped into Ruby, literally, and was instantly intrigued by her. Who knew it would lead to so much more (This was posted on my Fanfiction page a while ago and thought I post it here. This is my first CSI story)

Mia Langley doesn't do feelings, or rather, she compartmentalises them and lets things pile on and stay tough in the face of pain or danger with emotional walls. That's how she was raised as the oldest daughter of a former Navy SEAL veteran-turned-federal-military contractor father and a cardiologist mother in the midst of a messy divorce, who'd rather trained her than parented her, which resulted in the rift that was never repaired within her family, among other unsolved issues. She can't fall apart because she needs to be a pillar for everyone else, as her family kept moving from place to place all the time, so she never really had a place to call home. But as a CSI and criminalist in the Las Vegas Crime Lab, specialising in bloodstain pattern analysis and having certified combat experience, she's dangerous in her own right, and she feels that the lab is her family that she trusts. Especially her close friend and work partner, Nick Stokes, whom she would trust with her life more than anyone. However, as Mia starts to realise that she and Nick are venturing into "more than partners" territory with their bond, especially in their line of work and all the complications involved, Mia's unsure if she should use her walls to lock Nick out or let him in and see all of her: the good, the bad and the ugly, or she thinks he'll leave her like everyone else she's ever trusted in her life to survive on her own. Sophie Aronld is following in the footsteps of her mother as a forensic scientist at the crime lab in Las Vegas, Navda. Most of her free time as a kid was spent at the crime lab's break room, where she would listen in on different cases, trying to figure it out without the help of any labs and tests. She would also ask her mom several questions about different types of murder weapons that would scare most people. With the job comes Greg Sanders, a childish, yet charming person that catches the young CSI's eye. She knows the rules about dating and she's determined to follow them, but, she's automatically drawn to him, even before she knew everything about him, so what would happen when she does get to know him?

Maddie McCann has been on her own for 6 years after the death of her brother Jason McCann, even though she has another brother Alex McCann but they didn't get along, Maddie always had a strong bond with Jason that a part of her died when he died. She's a troubled 20 year old girl for breaking entries and stealing but also wants revenge for the deaths of her brother. But what happens when she gets taken in by a CSI Greg Sanders after trying to kill Nick Stokes, will they fall in love with each other...when there's gonna be secrets and danger coming to them.

However, every crime comes with drama and before long, she finds herself caught up in her own problems, inherited from the father she never had a chance to meet. Along with that, comes the charming, but playful Greg Sanders, the CSI who is automatically drawn to Miki, feeling it his duty to guide her and pass his knowledge onto her as the now ex-new kid on the block. However, when one night changes the lives of the CSI's forever and two bullets force a ripple in their destinies, they find themselves caught up in a whirlwind of sin themselves, hiding the truth from the people who know them best. Just how long can things last before their secrets catch up with them? In a city of neon lights and burlesque dancers, Greg and Miki must find a way to remember the world that they forgot.

Jessie Parker, one of the most beautiful and clever women in the world, joins the CSI team in Las Vegas. She meets her new family after she lost her parents. And ofcourse, there has to be one of them who got head over heals for her.

Paige Myles made a decision to only deal with the dead. The dead's problems are easier to deal with than the living's. They put up less of a fight when it comes to hearing bad news, and they rarely cause her too much trouble. In her mind, it's the best way to keep her life free of the complications. On her first night of the graveyard shift however, her path crosses with that of CSI Greg Sanders; a young man who finds himself driven to figure out Paige's big mystery. He's not the only one with a keen eye on Paige though. There's someone else, too, only this person has dark intentions and if Paige isn't careful, she might become a corpse in her own morgue.
