This wasn't labeled mature for swearing. This book does explain the backstory of the character in the book, so if you want to understand just read the damn thing. Mabel and Dipper come back to Gravity falls the next summer after they left. Not much had changed since they left. Except Pacifica having a boyfriend.

When Dipper and Mabel agreed to go to Gravity Falls for the summer, they expected a nice camping trip with their Uncle. What they got was, decidedly, not that. Wendy and her group are just not his type, no matter how much he wants them to be. Grunkle Stan, the cheapskate conman of the century, is only content on keeping his job going by fooling gullible tourists, and Soos follows, doing whatever he is asked. Life couldn't get more boring. But things change when a stranger shows up. Soon Dipper begins to fall in love with this new blonde haired boy, Bill Cipher, and the feelings are extremely mutual. But, as always, life plays nothing but cruel jokes on the concept of love. Dipper and Bill both know that Bill will leave by the end of the summer, Dipper will return back to his own home, and they will never see each other again. Their passionate trysts and unforgettable love will be nothing but a fond memory of the best summer of their lives. It's been three years since the twins first came to Gravity Falls. A lot has changed since they were there last. Now they return to the familiar town once again, only to be greeted by somebody new...ish. They get back to the Shack to find out there is a new kid working at the Shack. That kid's name is Bill Cipher.

Dipper and Mabel move into the city of Gravity Falls, where Creatures, Angels, Demons, and Humans live in actual peace, not like other cities that are very racist. They go to high school as seniors and live in an average apartment near their Grunkle's house. As Mable and Dipper go to school, they meet new friends and new faces. But dipper meets the king of the school his first day. As they progress their friendship, his friends notice something going on between the two. Dipper and Mable return to gravity Falls. But bills very existence depends on dipper making a deal with him. After an accidental outing of dipper's sexuality he's forced to make a deal with bill. Which is all bill needs to regain his physical form. After two years of Being alone in axolotls dimension bill finally returns saved by dipper and he has to return the favor. Human bill x dipper.

What if Dipper and Mabel never left Gravity Falls..? ---- After the events of Weirdmageddon, and Dipper and Mabel's 13th birthday, the mystery twins were set to go back home. But after an unexpected call from their parents at the last minute, Dipper and Mabel are forced to stay. Which means their grunkles have to stay too. Dipper is now older than he was and has returned to Gravity Falls to get over the death of his sister(Sorry if you like Mabel I just don't really know what to do with her in this sorry I really am sorry) Mabel.
