How about instead of getting obsessed with Greta he gets obsessed with her younger sibling. Your weirded out but after hearing the story of the parents you felt a bit of sympathy and you knew this would trigger Greta's trauma. The grocery boy was much nicer to Brahms atleast. Since she also ignores you a lot you decided to take care of the doll. Unknowing the dangers of what was to come.
