"In high school, you're taught that every problem has an answer. In the real world, some problems only have a body count." Lyon is a genius who sees the world in variables and trajectories. They thought the Farewell Party at the Westfield Palace would be their final victory lap. A clean break from the chaos. They were dead wrong. When the sirens fade and the "Masterpiece" spirals into a brutal, high-stakes brawl, the trio realizes they've accidentally stepped into a much deadlier food chain. The bullies were just the bottom tier. Beyond the school gates lies a world where identities are forged in fire and loyalty is bought with blood. Now, trapped in a game where the rules have suddenly changed, Lyon and Jeremy must decide: are they still just students, or have they already become the monsters they were trying to fight?

Able to come out of the woodwork, magical practitioners and creatures alike have slowly integrated into the everyday human world. Fairies running the nearest nightclub, gnomes in the banks, and at the top of everything an enclave of witches as the new High Society Elite. Hoarders of knowledge, the only way for a lowborn human to craft their own magic is to give oneself over entirely to a magical family as an indentured servant in exchange for becoming a witch in one's own right. Harmony is one such indent, marked as someone in service to the Wards, one of the most influential families in America. Six years into their service and only a year from freedom, the unthinkable happens and Harmony must decide where the line is drawn between self interest and self preservation.
