this story is about when Meredith wakes up and doesn't remember her dream and andrew isn't there to see her. (doesn't know he died) I wrote another one of these, "gone" , it's about when mer does remember him dying from the beach and how she will deal with it. enjoy!!

This story starts when arizona robbins decides to do what best for her daughter even if that ment moving to New York with her ex-wife callie torres [character and plot lines are not all mine some right so to shonda land and abc]

After his death, Meredith receives all of Derek's belongings from his mother, Carolyn Shepherd. Amongst his things, she finds a box filled with journals. His mother explains that he started writing in them when he was a first year resident as coping mechanism, as well as to let his kids discover who he was and what his life was like in his younger days. She also adds that he lost his medical school files and his first-year resident journal was given to Addison. Throughout this fanfic, you will be reading through Derek's journals, starting with him being a second year all the way to his last entry before his death. Hope you enjoy!
