Those were the last words she heard before everything went dark. - 24 year old Avery Winters has had a rough life. Her mother was killed in a house fire when she was 10, leaving her alone with her alcoholic father. After an abuse charge left her father in prison when she was 14, she was placed in foster care, where she bounced around homes until she aged out of the system. Moving to southern Montana, Avery attempts to restart her life, and takes a job as a waitress. At 26 years old, Alpha Greyson Brooks is desperate to find his mate.
