OR Grian is the nephew of the cold and powerful Empress Cleo, set to inherit the throne and be forced into a loveless arranged marriage. Scar is a pirate captain on his way to discover a hidden kingdom. Grian stows away. Mumbo comes with him. Adventures begin.

Scar hates Grian. That was a fact everybody knew. Right. Everybody knew that Scar hated Grian, because Grian was careless and stupid and really what was there not to hate about him? Ever since an incident that gave more sense than anything to his best friend's name, Grian doesn't understand when everybody tells him that Scar doesn't hate him. Turns out it's the truth. What will he do?
