It's 7am in the morning and I'm receiving a phone call from my best friend Mckayla. I wonder what's up for her to call me this early. "Good morning sis, how have you been?" , "Sara, I just phoned you up to tell you my mom has passed away last night." I yelled at the top of my lungs as her mom was just a mother to me as to her. Being in a different state I have to rush to get to her, to be there for her. As I'm walking through town looking for a black outfit to wear to the funeral, I happened to be looking at a fine young man's back. As I pass by him our eyes meet, and it's as if my insides are screaming, saying that "This is the one". Is he the one? What does fate have in store for Sara?

the garden of grieving is a 3 part poem showing the progression of my recovery from depression. i did this for school and i was given a list of words to include and had to pick at least 25 of them. (i do not own the images i used to create the cover)
