The warp fucks up a lot of things. Due to the Immaterium's nature, the Ark Mechanicus Speranza not only arrives on Holy Terra thirty-eight millennia earlier than it departed, but it also arrived in a different universe entirely. Whether this was Chaos' attempt at ridding the Imperium of its greatest weapon or a freak warpstorm, the Speranza's machine spirit is ready and willing to rid this civilized and not-imperium humanity of the xeno scum that dare tread on Holy Terra's most sacred surface (And surprisingly, still-existent oceans).

The first short story in the THUNDER! ZERO! Omnibus 1 line. The year is 2023. Humanity burns. The Heretic's Crusade has ruthlessly ravaged through the Americas. African territories were overtaken by the HF, arming those who willingly pledged their allegiance. The British Isles were taken in a lightning offensive, with large sections of Scandinavia falling swiftly after. The heretics are marching forth to crush the European stronghold. The HUF launches Operation Löwenruf. It is a desperate gamble to hold the western barricade against the darkness and the first chance to field test their reverse engineered heretic "Dynamic Armor" technology. This story follows an aging Corporal who commands the first IAV company in history. The fate of Humanity rests on the victory of these machines. Defeat is no longer in the picture.
